Our stunning space is a canvas for you to make your own. From formal galas and concerts, to weddings and private celebrations, the Crypt is a versatile venue that is able to fit whatever your imagination can hold.
When will I have access to the venue to set up?
You have access to the venue from the start of your booking, so make sure you include set up and pack down times when you enquire!
What A/V options do you support?
In the Crypt, we provide a basic PA system for £75, while up in the Church, we have a state of the art A/V system that can be hired for £100 with a sound engineer at £30/hr (you can use your own sound engineer if you would like). We can also provide a projector (£50), and staging (£100).
Catering services are available from our recommended suppliers, all of whom have been before and know the space, or you are welcome to hire an external caterer.
Full use of the Crypt kitchen is £250 if using an external caterer. There is a small kitchenette next to the Church where you can access hot water and a small fridge for £50, there is no commercial kitchen upstairs.
I’m selling alcohol, what do I need to know? Is there a corkage fee?
There is no corkage fee. You may provide your own alcohol free of charge, but if you wish to sell alcohol, please make sure that you have applied for and received a TENs licence from Islington Council.
Is there parking on-site?
We can include a parking space in your booking for £20/day. You can also load in and out on the street outside the venue for half an hour.
The streets around the church have limited parking. This parking is restricted to permit holders between 8:30am and 6:30pm Mon-Fri, and 8:30am-1:30pm on Saturdays, but becomes free for anyone to use out of those hours. Other options for clients are NCPs (national car parks), there are three nearby, the nearest of which is a ten minute walk away at Saffron Hill.
What is the nearest station?
The Crypt’s nearest underground station is Farringdon (Circle, Metropolitan, Hammersmith & City lines and Thameslink) which is 5 mins walk away, but Chancery Lane (Central line) and Angel (Northern line) are also nearby! Kings Cross is also within walking distance.
May we use the organ and do you have an in-house organist?
You may hire the organ for £60. We do not have an in-house organist but we have several contacts we can put you in touch with.
What if I need to cancel or modify my event?
If you cancel your booking 14 days or more before your event, we can refund your damage deposit of £200. If you would like to rebook for another time, get in touch with us and we will see what we can do.
