Our stunning space is a canvas for you to make your own. From formal galas and concerts, to weddings and private celebrations, the Crypt is a versatile venue that is able to fit whatever your imagination can hold.
You have access to the venue from the start of your booking, so make sure you include set up and pack down times when you enquire!
In the Crypt you can hire a basic PA system to help support your event. In the Church we have a state of the art A/V system which can be hired along with a sound engineer for a very reasonable price. Please click this link to find out pricing options on our equipment page.
Catering services are available from our recommended suppliers, all of whom have been before and know the space, or you are welcome to hire an external caterer. There is an additional charge should you bring in an external caterer. Up in the Church there is a small kitchenette where you can access hot water and a small fridge for £50. There is no corkage fee. You may provide your own alcohol free of charge, but if you wish to sell alcohol, please make sure that you have applied for and received a TENs licence from Islington Council.
We can include a parking space in your booking for £20/day. You can also load in and out on the street outside the venue for half an hour.
The streets around the church have limited parking. This parking is restricted to permit holders between 8:30am and 6:30pm Mon-Fri, and 8:30am-1:30pm on Saturdays, but becomes free for anyone to use out of those hours. Other options for clients are NCPs (national car parks), there are three nearby, the nearest of which is a ten minute walk away at Saffron Hill.
The Crypt’s nearest underground station is Farringdon (Circle, Metropolitan, Hammersmith & City lines, Thameslink and Elizabeth line) which is 5 mins walk away. Chancery Lane (Central line) and Angel (Northern line) are also nearby with Kings Cross in walking distance.
You may hire the organ and although we do not have an in-house organist we have many contacts who will be able to help.
We ask you to pay a third of the hire cost upon booking to secure your date and pay the remaining balance at least one week prior to your event. If you cancel your booking 14 days or more before your event, we will retain your booking deposit (1/3 of the cost) but can refund your balance (2/3 of the cost) and damage deposit of £200. If you would like to rebook for another time, get in touch with us and we will see what we can do.
